Gateway Health Alliance, Inc.
Gateway
is a Virginia managed care company established in 1994 dedicated to partnering
with employers in order to provide them with affordable, well-managed
health plans. Our innovative and unique approach to valued healthcare
delivery serves the needs of employers, employees and providers. Gateway
is organized as a freestanding for-profit Virginia corporation, operating
separately
from the hospitals, physician practices, pharmacies, mental health facilities
and other providers. Our corporate offices are in Danville, Virginia.
Gateway
was founded on the premise that health benefit costs can be truly managed
utilizing world-class technology, clinical expertise and the transparency
of comprehensive client data reporting. Gateway's success in managing
health benefit costs has been augmented by Disease Management programs
and focusing on at-risk employees.

Halifax
Physician - Hospital Organization
Partnering
with Gateway Health Alliance since 1995, Halifax Physician-Hospital Organization
(now dba Gateway Health Alliance) shares the same mission and values for
its clients. Organized by Halifax Regional Hospital and Halifax
area physicians, Halifax PHO’s primary network covers Halifax, Charlotte,
and Mecklenburg counties in Southside Virginia.

Administrative/Technology Partner

Gateway's
administrative/technology partner, Primary PhysicianCare (PPC), was established
in 1977 and is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina.
PPC specializes in a complete integration of technology and services to
assure quality care and efficient delivery systems. Primary
PhysicianCare, provides the information services technology, administration,
and customer service center. PPC has been in business for nearly 30 years,
is privately held, and works with more than 130 national employers. Through
our partnership, we are able to consolidate services into one plan administrator,
providing a significant reduction in costs, world-class service and advanced
information services technology.
